Terms of Service
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and TravelOS ("TravelOS," "we," "us") for the TravelOS website and web app (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old, and at least 18 to buy a paid plan. You are responsible for your account, for keeping your password and sign-in methods secure, and for everything that happens under your account. Give us accurate information and tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.
3. The Service
TravelOS helps groups plan trips: shared itineraries, reservations, maps, polls, Group Agreements, expense splitting, checklists, weather, travel advisories, and paid features such as an AI Trip Copilot. We do not sell or book flights, hotels, tours or other travel. We do not move money between people. Expense features record and calculate splits so your group can settle up on its own.
Features and limits can change. Phone apps are planned but are not part of the Service today.
4. Trips, roles and content
A person who creates a trip is its organizer. Organizers choose who can join and what role each person has, such as add and edit, view only, or organize. You are responsible for who you invite. Members with edit access can change shared trip content, and the Service may keep a history of changes.
You own the content you add. You give us a limited license to host, store, process and display it as needed to operate the Service for you and the people you share it with. You promise you have the right to add it and that it does not break the law or anyone's rights.
5. Plans, payments and cancellation
- Free: one active trip with up to 4 people.
- Trip Pass: a one-time purchase (currently $12.99) that unlocks paid features and up to 12 people on one trip.
- Pro: a subscription (currently $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year) that unlocks paid features on every trip you organize, with up to 12 people per trip.
Only the organizer pays. People an organizer invites to a paid trip can use its paid features on that trip at no cost. Joining a trip is always free.
Prices are in U.S. dollars and may not include taxes. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel Pro at any time from your account; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for, and we do not charge you again. When a paid plan ends, your trips stay but paid features turn off, and some trips may exceed Free limits until you upgrade or reduce them. Except where the law requires, or where we choose otherwise, payments are non-refundable. We will tell you before changing the price of an existing subscription, and the change applies at your next renewal.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, harass or threaten others, spam, upload malware, scrape or overload the Service, attempt to access other people's accounts or data, reverse engineer it, or resell it. Do not upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Travel information, safety and AI
TravelOS shows information from third parties and from AI, including weather, government travel advisories, entry and health checklists, emergency numbers, and suggested plans. This information is provided for general guidance only. It may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. It is not legal, medical, immigration, safety or financial advice. Always confirm entry requirements, health requirements, prices, opening hours and safety conditions with official sources and your providers before you travel or pay. You are responsible for your own travel decisions. AI features suggest; you decide.
8. Third-party services
The Service works with third-party services such as Stripe, Google, Apple, map and data providers. Their terms and privacy practices apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for third-party services, or for bookings and arrangements you make with travel providers.
9. Our rights
TravelOS, its software, design, and branding belong to us and our licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of them. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
10. Termination
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms, put the Service or others at risk, or if we stop offering the Service. If we end your paid access without cause during a paid period, we will refund the unused portion of that period.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that information in it is accurate.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, TravelOS and its owners, employees and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, travel costs or trip disruption. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
13. Disputes and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which TravelOS is organized, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it informally. Any legal action must be brought in the courts located in that state, unless the law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after the effective date, you accept the updated Terms. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
